Obtain the Built-in Abbreviation Gazetteer

Returns the abbreviations whose periods are never treated as sentence boundaries by segment(). Matching is case-insensitive and anchored at a word boundary, so "ST." protects "St. Petersburg" but never the end of "cost.".
